There's no difficulty telling the difference between Jupiter and the space station, because Jupiter appears stationary, while the orbiting laboratory moves across the sky rapidly, taking about 5 minutes to cross. The largest planet in our solar system, Jupiter is more than 11 times the diameter of Earth, and is more than 300 times as massive.
